Macunis is a boutique corporate building in Pinheiros, conceived with mass timber as its primary structural system. The structure uses timber comprehensively—slabs, beams, and columns—fully leveraging its technical advantages, such as lower self-weight, component industrialization, and enhanced quality control during construction.
The adoption of mass timber contributes to improved thermal and acoustic performance while enabling more open floor plates, balconies on every level, abundant natural daylight, and increased floor-to-ceiling heights. Within a consolidated urban context, the project demonstrates how mass timber technology can be applied to high-end corporate buildings, delivering construction efficiency alongside reduced environmental impact.
